Great Antique, Vintage and Boot Fair
On Saturday 1 September Four Paws once again had a stall at Stonor Antiques and Vintage Fair.
On this occasion once the dealers had swept through, there seemed to be more sellers than buyers. However, we still managed to raise a respectable £275.00.
Didcot Family Day
On Saturday 24 August at Didcot Family Day (Funfair, live music, food, dance, stalls, etc) we held a tombola stall for Four Paws which raised £150.50. It was a very enjoyable day – very warm, lovely atmosphere and great fun was had by all!
We are hoping to return again next year.
Studley Green Garden Centre
Funds raised: 8 July 2019 -time for an update.
So far the sum raised from the sale of garden furniture donated by Studley Green is a fantastic £3,748.19.
Over the last few weeks we have also sold some items on e-bay and at car boot fairs which has netted a further £1,130.29.
Miscellaneous items which we have been unable to sell by any other method have been taken to auction and have brought in another £186.00.
A couple of weeks ago Studley Green also donated a BBQ to us which we then held a raffle for at their Customer Loyalty Evening. This raised another £84.00.
That’s an amazing total of £5,149.48.
In addition to the above we are still continuing to collect lots of lovely bric-a-brac and gardening supplies from them and many of you will have seen and purchased these items from our Charity Shop.
We are so grateful to Studley Green and to you our customers for this fantastic support.
Thank you once again to you all.

In January this year Asda at Wheatley nominated Four Paws Cat Rescue as one of their token charities. It lasted for three months (January, February and March). Unfortunately F.P.C.R. did not manage to take the top nomination, but we were delighted to come second and extremely appreciative to be awarded £200. Our charity would like to thank Asda for their continuing support. The publicity and the money will make a huge difference to so many ill-treated, struggling and homeless cats.

Studley Green Garden Centre
Charity Partner Voting.
Great news! Four Paws Cat Rescue has won the vote to become Studley Green Garden Centre’s charity partner for 2019, so many thanks to all of you who voted for us.
It’s early days yet but the management at the Centre is already coming up with a few ideas to help us raise some funds and we are looking forward to working with them over the forthcoming months.
To get things off to a very good start they have just donated a large quantity of items for us to sell in our Charity Shop. They have also put some of our collection boxes and information leaflets in their shop together with a bin where customers can donate any cat food, etc to us.
If you get a chance do pop in to the Centre and see what they are doing. The staff are friendly and always happy to give advice. As a bonus they also have a good little café!
Thank you again to all our Four Paws friends and supporters.
A Random Act of Kindness and Thoughtfulness
Following a chance conversation with one of our FPCR volunteers, a very kind lady called Carlene Heaton who is an employee at Bargain Buys in Banbury, instigated a donation of a huge supply of cat food to our charity. We would like to thank all involved in this generous gesture. It is very much appreciated particularly from the many happy well- fed cats.
Three Parishes Fair
Four Paws Cat Rescue held a Christmas stall at the ‘Three Parishes Fair’ on Saturday 1st December at Islip Village Hall. It was a very festive occasion and the village made us feel very welcome. We raised £145 in two hours, so we were delighted and hope to be invited back next year.
A Cat’s Tale
THE STORY OF FLASH………
Flash was abandoned by previous owners when they moved home in 2014.
He was living rough, was malnourished and showed many a battle scar. 4 years of patient work from cat lover Serinne and financial support from Four Paws Cat Rescue eventually paid off.
Dedication from Serinne and donations from our supporters were vital in turning this cats life around.
Flash chose new owners in 2018 and his confidence grows daily.
He now enjoys the lifestyle he so deserves and the battle scars have healed.
A Wonderful Donation from Capital Gardens
Four Paws Cat Rescue are very grateful to Phil and Dawn of Capital Gardens at Studley Green Garden Centre, Stokenchurch for their recent large donation of wonderful assorted goodies, the sales of which will be a big help in our continuing need to raise funds for our work.

Shoppers at Asda recently contributed to Four Paws Cat Rescue by kindly donating their loose change.
We raised £90 and we were very grateful to Asda for allowing us to promote our charity, a special mention of thanks to Angie for her support and assistance on the day.
Four Paws are always appreciative to the volunteers who give up their time to support events like this.
A Huge Thank You to the Oxford Cat Clinic
The Oxford Cat Clinic in Marston held a very successful fun day on Saturday 2nd June 2018. Luckily the weather was ideal and all concerned enjoyed a lovely atmosphere with face painting, BBQ, “Bring and Buy” cake sale and a tour behind the scenes of a cat hospital.
Volunteers from Four Paws Cat Rescue had great fun running the Tombola Stall.
The event raised £228 and we would like to thank the Cat Clinic for their generous sponsorship and for their continuing support which is sincerely appreciated. We would also like to give a special thank you to the founder of Pets reunited Nick Carpenter who kindly donated £100 which took the total amount raised on the day to £328.
